Ruth Bader Ginsburg is a popular American lawyer and jurist who has been playing a role as an Associate Justice of the U.S Supreme Court. She was appointed by President Bill Clinton as the second female justice on the Supreme Court.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg was born on March 15, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York, United States to Nathan Bader and Celia Bader. Her father Nathan Bader was a Jewish immigrant from Ukraine and mother was born in New York to Austrian Jewish parents. She has a sister named Marilyn Bader.
Ruth studied at James Madison High School. Then she enrolled at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York and graduated from the university with a bachelor of arts in government on June 23, 1954. In this university, she met her husband Martin D. Ginsburg at age 17. In 1955, she enrolled at Harvard Law School where she was one of nine female students among 500 male students. She transferred to Columbia Law School due to her husband job in New York City.
Personal Life:
Ruth Bader Ginsburg married Martin D. Ginsburg who is also a lawyer specialized in tax following her graduation from Cornell. Later the couple became an internationally prominent tax lawyer. Her husband Martin became a professor of law at Georgetown University Law Center. Together the couple has a daughter Jane C. Ginsburg born in 1955, is a professor at Columbia Law School and a son James Steven Ginsburg born in 1965, is the president of Cedille Records.
