Darren Waller was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft in replacement of Rolando McClain. He was placed on the injured reserve during the season subsequently ending his season. Waller was suspended from the NFL game for two times respectively in 2016 and 2017 accusing violating the substance-abuse policy.
In 2018, he was reinstated after a long suspension period in his career. Then Darren was signed by the Oakland Raider on November 26, 2018, and he had six receptions for 75 yards in this season.
