Amit Shah also known as Amitabh Anilchandra Shah is a famous Indian politician who is considered one of the most powerful politicians in India after Narendra Modi. He is the current president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Minister of Home Affairs. Shah is also a Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Gandhinagar.
Amit Shah Early Life & Education:
Amit Shah was born on October 22, 1964, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India to parents Anil Chandra Shah and Kusumben Shah. He grew up in a well-established family. His father Anil Chandra Shah owned a PVC pipe business and gets huge success in the sector.
His mother is a homemaker. Shah did schooling in Mehsana, Gujrat. Then he moved to Ahmedabad to study biochemistry at CU Shah Science College where he completed a B.Sc. degree in biochemistry. He also worked in co-operative banks in Ahmedabad. He first met with present Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 1982.
Amit Shah Career:
Amit Shah kicked off the political journey as a student leader of the RSS student wing. In 1987, he joined BJP and became an activist of BJP’s youth wing Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM). He won the 2002 Assembly election from the Sarkhej constituency in Ahmedabad and became the youngest minister in the Modi government.
He was arrested in connection with the Sohrabuddin case, charged with the murder, extortion, and kidnapping on July 25, 2010. In 2014, the talented leader became the president of BJP. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha from Gujarat in August 2017. On May 30, 2019, Shah took oath as Cabinet Minister and took office as Minister of Home Affairs.

In personal life, Amit Shah has been married to Sonal Shah. Together the couple has a son named Jay Shah, an Indian businessman and cricket administrator.
